I was here in Feb 2017, it was a little difficult finding the entrance to this part of the building but so worth getting there. I could not get over the collection of minerals in this museum. It took us longer to view the collection than expected so if you are really into this kind of thing, allow lots of time. It was free to view and there was no guided tour so you can spend as much time as you want on each piece but if you have any questions you might be out of luck at getting them answered. The clerk in the "gift shop" was very knowledgeable and was able to answer what we wanted to know.

The only down side is there is a very limited parking for this location but if you go early it shouldn't be a problem.
