This was one of two stops we made on a trip from Eugene OR to Trinidad CA and it didn’t disappoint. The views are beautiful and the gardens are very well maintained. There is a $5 fee for entrance but we thought it was well worth it. Very nice beach to walk along, lots of sand. Parking was very accessible to the beach, with public toilets. There is a very nice campground at the top that I drove through in mind for future visits. It's got spots for tent camping, spots for camping trailers and RVs (borh with and without utilities) and even a few cabins. There's a small playground for kids with a slide, swings, and other play equipment. Most if the campsites seemed to have large hedges in-between to provide separation and privacy. The park has created a "garden for all seasons" and an observation building which offers spectacular views of seascapes and migrating whales. Suggested duration: More than 3 hours
