What an amazing adventure. I walked from the parking lot down to the beach and got my first look at the lighthouse. It was around 5:00am so I could see the light making it's rounds off in the distance. Mist covered the entire mountain side for an absolutely stunning view. I was sooo excited for what was to come. The trail leading through the forest was still damp and the salmon berries seemed to go on forever.

There is a small lagoon just past the Coast Guard station that is so peaceful it makes you want to set up camp. One could sit here and ponder or reflect on life for many days without leaving. The forest surrounding lighthouse is a perfect example of how wonderfully soothing nature is to our Soul. The lighthouse itself is something to behold. So majestic and statuesque, a silent and romantic symbol of the past. I recommend this vision of beauty to anyone who loves the ocean and forest. You will be delighted you made the trip and you will leave with a smile on your face.
