This is a beautiful forest with several trials and you can hike along the river and see mount olympus. At the visitor there is a short 1/4 mole trail. My husband has limited mobility so we are always looking for trails with LOTS of benches so we can go together. This was a pretty little walk enabling us to move a little after a long day of driving. On the way back to the visitor center the views were very pretty. We were lucky to seem some elk crossing the river. There is a lot of walking to do, if you are not a great walker then I would advise doing an easy trail. The place is beautiful to look at and some of our photographs are amazing. We didn't see much in the way of wildlife as they hadn't had much rain so it was a little dry. It was very busy on the trails but it was still a nice morning out. Good parking and lots of it at the visitors center for our motorhome. |
