if you want things to do in Taos and have never been there before, you may want to stop here and get some literature on this small community in New Mexico. The plaza has lots of shops and places to eat as well as galleries for art.

This is a nice visitor center, nicer than a lot of them are and very informative. It's located on the S side of Taos on the "main highway" toward Ranchos de Taos, a few miles S of Taos plaza. Be sure to ask them how to find San Francisco de Asis mission (in Ranchos de Taos), as it is only a very short distance from the visitor center & is a MUST SEE!
